The Travel Artist

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone” - Neale Donald Walsch

Meet Anoopsha George who by profession is Radiotherapy Technologist and who does travel art as a passion.

Anoopsha got introduced to the world of art during his school days, but the start was not so smooth. But as time passed, he knew he was getting a hang of the art and was fascinated by the vibrant world of colours and the different shades of grey. Mastering art was according to him “a beautiful challenge”.

As his father was related in travel profession, Anoopsha was blessed with frequent travel opportunities. Both merged, and he got to visit a number of places and he looked around for art opportunities wherever he travelled.

Best Travel Experience

The travel sketches remain etched in his memories and the minute details help him to learn different things. A sketch diary, camera, and pencil set, are his essential accessories or “travel
companions”. He looks out for food and accommodation that are pocket friendly, at places he visits.

His travels have taken him to several places like Madurai, Gokarna, Goa, Alleppey, Wayanad, Mysore, Hampi, etc. These places had an enormous impact on his growth as a creative person and his works of art. Of all the places he has visited so far, he considers Hampi to be the most memorable.

It is at Hampi where he was fascinated by the structure and art sculptures of Virupaksha temple. He had a peaceful sketching there, realising the potential of art behind ancient architecture. He prefers to travel solo, as he feels it helps him conquer his greatest fears and remember his purpose of travel art.
